“Is D7 really so buggy that you have to update it every couple of days? Dude, why not wait for a legitimate major update once a month or less? It’s like you can’t get it right,.sort of like Bill what his name…Go fly a kite at Kitty Hawk…“
[EDITED: Reason being, I flew off the handle a little bit…]Some anonymous scum bag who likes drive-by internet put downs sent me that just a few minutes ago. Do you believe this guy? Left it on the contact form on my website with no email address with which to respond.
Guess what, D7 is full of bugs I can admit that. Not sure if you’ve noticed, though, but all software is. Thing is, I’m not even a programmer, just a PC tech looking to make life easier for me and everyone else…
But what sets me apart from some software vendors, is that I actually produce updates to FIX those bugs. I do it sometimes daily because they get reported to me sometimes daily. That happens not because D7 is that buggy, but because I have a ton of users – currently over 60k downloads on MG alone. D7 is popular. So to keep it that way, I’m not lazy with my release schedule. I actually try to HELP those who would use my software, not ignore them until it is convenient for me, once a month or whatever. That’s just how I treat my people.
I also like to update every few days, or more frequently, with new features and content, something this guy completely missed since he obviously hasn’t been reading my revision history. Much of those new features and content come from people, like yourself, (except they are trying to help, not be a jerk,) and I like to accommodate those people too. That’s just how I am… I actually CARE about the concerns of people who would use my software.
I’m not sure it this guy was a disgruntled D7 user, a local competitor to my side Computer Guy business (unlikely, as he doesn’t realize people fly kites off of Jockey’s Ridge in Nags Head, not Kitty Hawk,) or just some bum who like me, probably has a similar yet far less capable product and is jealous of D7’s popularity – sorry man, no one has heard of / nor likes your product, so why don’t you get some skills then? Which ever category you fall into, live with it, man.
