Earlier this week I released D7 v6.7, the final free version. In this version, I disabled updating functionality for unregistered users, so that it would not be possible to update to v7. I did this because I didn’t want people (unregistered users) updating to v7 before they found that v7 won’t run for them without registration.
About Nick
Founder and Developer - After over a dozen years "in the trenches" as a computer repair technician specializing in malware removal, I came to focus on a software development hobby. Initially I created tools to assist technicians like myself with the inefficient, repetitive, and mundane tasks PC techs face daily, in order to provide a far more efficient means of getting the job done. Later came an interest in using my development skills and tech experience for prevention of malware...

I’m charging because I cannot work for free anymore. You aren’t the only one who can barely pay the bills.
Also, what tech software have you ever seen that you could license for 5-10 bucks anyway? Get realistic… Tech software can cost between $80 and $800 or more depending on what it does and who makes it. I think I’m safe in the $100 range for being on the cheap end especially with all that D7 does. Think of it this way, how much time (=money) can D7 save you over a lifetime of usage. Certainly more than 5-10 bucks worth.

This is for Solder1st, you can not be a tech and if you are you should be ashamed of yourself for posting a message like that, its no wonder you are barely paying the bills because you seems as if you are giving your services away for free and you want nick to give his for free also, the first $500.00 you make should go to nick if you use D7 for repairs, you are a idiot and should only post serious comments and not have nick replying to your selfish and unprofessional and ridiculous ass comments. The way you sound you will be homeless soon anyway and want need D7, grow up and stop posting BS so that nick can go back to doing what he does best, which is continually improving the best tech software out. Nick the real tech’s thank you for all that you have done for us in the business. (last note) he should be found and his freeeeeeeee copy of D7 should be revoked.
