It is very important when you change your bank account or are issued a new credit/debit card, that you keep your payment method current with our billing processor for your subscription based Foolish IT products.
For those who purchased with Paypal accounts, it can also be handy to setup a backup funding source for your particular subscription, should the primary ever fail.
Subscriptions created before May 2015
Most subscriptions created from 2012 through May 2015 will be created from a Paypal account, with some rare exceptions from a direct credit card processor/automated billing system. Note that even direct credit/debit card checkout with Paypal will create a Paypal account for subscription based billing. For those who checked out with Paypal, you can use the Paypal guide below to manage your subscription through the Paypal dashboard.
Note: we cannot modify your payment method details via our Paypal access to your subscription, this must be done from your Paypal account.
If you are sure you have a non-Paypal subscription from this time frame and need payment methods modified, or you have a Paypal subscription but cannot access your Paypal account for some reason, we would need to cancel your subscription and have you re-subscribe under our new billing/subscription system in order to apply new payment method details. If the subscription term is an issue, we can also cancel/refund and/or credit the new subscription time depending on the situation and your needs. Please contact us for more information (using the form on the right.)
Subscriptions created after May 2015
If you subscribed after May 2015, you will receive automated email notifications regarding pending renewals and billing. The pending renewal notice will arrive 5 days prior to your renewal, and will include links to update your payment method or cancel the subscription, but you may also contact us at anytime to accomplish these tasks. All new purchases and renewals will automatically receive a paid invoice (PDF) via email after your payment method is successfully charged.
Cancel a Subscription
Paypal subscriptions may be cancelled in the final step (3a) of the visual guide for Paypal below; all others see above for subscriptions created after May 2015.
For these and all other subscriptions you may also contact us and we will be happy to cancel the subscription for you from our end, but please do not delay as we cannot guarantee an immediate response, therefore your credit card may be automatically charged before we can process the cancellation. Our typical customer support availability is Mon-Fri 9am-5pm ET. (Please select “Subscription Cancellation Request” as the subject when using the form to the right.
