Simple Guide For Backing Up Your Computer (6 of 7)
How to I get the data off my devices??
There is backup and storage space available online for free (5GB for iOS/iCloud, 15GB for Android/Google Drive, 7GB for Windows Phone/SkyDrive), but getting all your data from all your devices could be tricky. You can get local copies of all your files on your computer to Google Drive or SkyDrive, if you have installed their applications. You would just have to add the files to the list of the locations to get it to backup. You can also just copy all your stuff over from the folder it’s located in when said devices becomes attached, or plugged in, to the computer with the USB cable.
iCloud is used to extract all your data if you are carrying an Apple device.
Everything is almost the same with iOS, to an extent. The implementation of Apple’s iCloud is a little different though, depending on the application you are using. You may have to use an online storage option, Dropbox is a common one, to copy your files on, then you will be able to access them on your computer from there. Or you may need to sync your data, documents, pictures and music using iTunes.
