- Change: dUninstaller and File System/Registry deletion functionality has been copied to the new “Uninstall/Delete” tab in the main d7x interface, and some parts of this functionality has been improved. The redundant functionality will be removed from the KillEmAll interface in a future release, but has been left there for now with a message redirecting you to the d7x Uninstall/Delete tab. Note that the d7x tab name/location may be changed in the future based on user feedback.
- The d7x function “Delete Blacklisted Items” which automatically deleted file/registry objects based on the definition files created on the d7x Uninstall/Delete tab (formerly in KillEmAll) now leaves a report (Deleted Items) of what it found/deleted in the Malware Logs report directory, and a separate report (Delete Failures) if anything failed to delete. (This should be unlikely since this functionality employs all of d7x’s tricks to delete stubborn files.)
- Change: Some tabs can’t be changed when certain operations are in progress (e.g. DataGrab Backup, among others) when changing the tab or performing other operations would cause issues with the current operation.
- Fix: It was possible for certain actions in d7x to be logged temporarily but they wouldn’t make it to the Work Report.html until an action was taken like “Email Reports” button was clicked from the Reports tab. An example of this was uninstalling programs/apps. Now, anytime you change to the Reports tab to view reports, it will refresh the Work Report.html with the most current info from the temporary log.
- Removed DataGrab option to manually select either “Documents and Settings” or “Users” since this is detected automatically anyway, and could even be a non-standard path name. Related under the hood code changes to DataGrab functionality.
- Fix: It was previously possible to select a different backup partition in DataGrab, then perform other d7x related tasks on other tabs during the data backup, e.g. delete temp files, which would be affected by the DataGrab partition change, instead deleting temp files on the drive selected in DataGrab after the partition change.
- Fix: So that d7x operations relying on variables (e.g. for system drive, windows dir, user paths, etc.) that are set/reset when you switch tabs do not get changed mid-operation:
- It is no longer possible to change tabs during a DataGrab backup (if backing up from an offline partition) or from the Offline tab if currently running Auto Mode on that tab.
- Likewise, it is no longer possible to change to the DataGrab or Offline tabs while current running Auto Mode on another tab, or Full Auto Mode (All Tabs).
- Made some tweaks to stop long d7x shutdown times when d7x has been running on the system a long time without restart/reboot.
