- Doubled the threshold of the RAM upgrade alert for all versions of Windows. Windows 8.x/10 was doubled from 4GB to 8GB (meaning less than 8GB and the RAM upgrade alert is triggered.) Windows Vista/7 was doubled from 2GB to 4GB, and Windows XP (why do we still support this?) was doubled from 1GB to 2GB. The point being, RAM is cheap, even the older stuff at least should be plentiful.
- Fewer known services should trigger the “Check Auto-Start Services” alert on the d7x System Info tab.
- d7x should now stop displaying the green updates available message in the lower status bar after updating modules and when a restart of d7x is not necessary.
v21.6.2 Release Notes (Repost since the website crash.)
- Added to the d7x Delete Temporary Internet Files functionality the additional files in “Code Cache” and “GPUCache” for Chromium based browsers, which in all testing proves safe to delete, along with the other caches.
- Added check to automatically End Session when Auto Mode completes for the Maintenance tab. This pairs well with the ability to configure End Session to email/upload your reports and delete d7x and all tools. This setting is saved along with your Auto Mode profiles.
- Fewer known services should trigger the “Check Auto-Start Services” alert on the d7x System Info tab.
- When d7x Config setting to format date with the year first is enabled, now d7x uses leading zeros for the month and day, so date-based filenames and lists are sorted in proper order.
- When dSupportSuite is installed, the display for the last dSS Maintenance on the System Info tab will now obey the d7x Config setting to format the date with the year first.
- Added d7x function to “Enable Automatic Time Sync” in Windows 10, which of course enables Windows 10’s built-in ability to sync time. This is enabled in Windows by default but can get disabled so this function is handy to run in all of your Auto Mode profiles.
Not part of the d7x update, but in a recent Custom Apps update the Vipre Rescue Scanner custom apps were removed since Vipre has removed the tool from their site.
