- Added d7x function “Reset OneDrive” to fix sync issues with OneDrive. The function will locate OneDrive, terminate the process, run OneDrive.exe /reset and then restart OneDrive to fix sync issues. This is a great addition to your repair tab, perhaps maintenance as well, or especially for those d7xRDT automated maintenance deployments (this is function number 135.)
- Added new config setting under Behavior > Regional (bottom left) to “Use 24 Hour Time Format” in various date/time displays throughout d7x. 12-hour (AM/PM) is the current default.
- Removed d7x config setting for setting the web browser homepage. More recent versions of all Chromium based browsers in addition to Firefox have further prevented the ability to change this setting automatically, and this functionality is fairly useless except for IE, which means it’s completely useless.
- Updated various config setting and function descriptions.
- Made it optional to remove mapped drives (rather than it happening automatically) when ending session in d7x (see the End Session tab > Undo Windows Modifications section.) The option to remove mapped drives will be enabled automatically whenever any drives are mapped by d7x, so you must manually uncheck the box before End Session if you wish to leave them mapped (the same as other options in this section.)
- Fixed two different work report descriptions appearing if you ran the d7x Check Time Zone function as part of Auto Mode.
- Now when loading d7x Config for the first time, the default time zone will be set to your current time zone by default, rather than “Eastern Standard Time” as previously.
- The last download date for custom apps is now stored with a time stamp as well. This date/time is used when determining when a custom app should be redownloaded.
- The last download date for custom apps was previously stored with custom apps config and transferred to/from the server, overwriting your local last download date info, but that is not the desired behavior (obviously!) so this has been corrected with this release. You will not need to resave any configs to the server, as the last download date info will be ignored when downloading configs from the server as well as uploading them.
- If the last download date is not available for a custom app that is downloaded, the custom app’s main exe or installation file date (if either exist) will be displayed instead when clicking on a custom app in any d7x listbox.
- Previously, there was no “last download date” stored for internal apps used by d7x such as Nirsoft and Sysinternals apps. Now d7x keeps the last download date/time for these apps and redownloads by default after 30 days from the last download date. You can change the number of days before redownload by going to d7x Config > Custom Apps tab > Misc Settings tab.
- Double-clicking an entry in the installed apps lists of the various Uninstall tabs now performs a web search for the app name (and publisher). This and all other options are still available via right-click.
- Double-clicking an entry list on the Uninstall (Windows Updates) tab will now perform a web search for the related KB number, if one was found for the update, otherwise it will web search for the entire package name. (Previously a double-click showed details from DISM, and this option is still available along with other features in the right-hand drop down menu on the “Uninstall Selected” button.)
