What this means for existing users – now you can keep slim copies of D7 with no 3rd party applications for quick and easy transfer when working on remote systems, etc.
Usage scenario: you’re working remotely and need to transfer D7 to a remote PC. Rather than transfer D7 and ALL of the 3rd party apps over to the remote PC which could take AGES, you can simply transfer D7 by itself. Then start your maintenance session or malware removal – the apps needed (and ONLY the needed apps, not ALL of them) will be automatically downloaded as needed.
