Fixed an intermittent issue loading offline registry hives into the local registry for use with Regedit and various other d7x functionality.
New config option: “Add Exclusions to Windows Defender for d7x Paths” will add exclusions for the d7x path (including the 3rd party tools path) when starting a new session. Exclusions will be removed during End Session. Enabled by default, you can disable via Config > Behavior/Updates > General Behavior section, next to “Disable Windows Defender…” Obviously this option is most useful if you wish to leave Windows Defender enabled.
Fixed an issue with the last few releases not displaying the specifics (in the lower details area) for alerts on the System Info tab. Fixed an issue with d7x not unloading offline registry hives after it is done with them. Fixed a few issues after a WMI/WBEM/DCOM repair where d7x thought that the internet was disconnected, and it also thought systems with a battery were always on battery power. Of course these issues cleared up...
Added d7x function “Reset OneDrive” to fix sync issues with OneDrive. The function will locate OneDrive, terminate the process, run OneDrive.exe /reset and then restart OneDrive to fix sync issues. This is a great addition to your repair tab, perhaps maintenance as well, or especially for those d7xRDT automated maintenance deployments (this is function number 135.) Added new config setting under Behavior > Regional (bottom left) to “Use 24 Hour Time Format” in various date/time...
Fixed a problem with extra/unnecessary custom app downloads when there are two apps of the same app, but with different full app names due to parentheses (e.g. “PatchMyPC” and “PatchMyPC (Auto)” were previously treated as two different apps by d7x download code, now they will both be treated as a single download with regard to the re-download settings for each of the custom apps.) Note all Emsisoft a2cmd configs were updated to follow the above...
v21.10.12.3 – Added custom app ability to run “.appref-ms” files in the main custom app/exe field. Also updated custom apps including Microsoft SaRA. v21.10.12.2 – When clicking on Custom Apps in a list box the app description in the lower details pane is now followed by the app file version and last download date (if already downloaded of course.) v21.10.12.1 – Custom App RapydMark was not running on some systems without the VC++ 2017 Runtimes...
v21.10.8.2 – Updated Malware Search Tool for scanning Windows 10/11 services while ignoring the extra bit of random data after the underscore in an otherwise known service name (e.g. “SomeServiceName_42129”) when the service contains a known filename in the image path. Also, services whitelisted without an image path are no longer displayed, regardless of the actual image path of the service. This is useful when services have an image path with a random bit of...
Fixed a big issue with dSupportSuite client software not downloading the latest language INI file information, causing language to be missing from various prompts (e.g. the cancel maintenance timeout prompt displayed only a numerical countdown, without the explanation as to what is counting down or what the button does.) NOTE: that this is the Config\AltLang.ini file, which is designed so that you can edit the contents to alter the language, but the file wasn’t being...
FIXED: UAC incorrectly reported as disabled on some systems when it was enabled fully. FIXED: some default language was missing (causing issues like Windows Firewall was not displayed when no other firewall was present and Anti-Virus software not displaying “Up to Date” or “Outdated” for the definitions.) FIXED (Heartbeat report) Windows update was incorrectly reported as disabled on Windows 10. The anti-virus was incorrectly reported as missing when Windows Defender is enabled on Windows 10....
Improved the repair process for d7x’s Repair WMI/WBEM/DCOM internal function. The OS Drive Used/Free disk space display in the top area of d7x should now appear in blue if the volume is encrypted. d7x now remembers and restores the last Auto Mode profile you selected during a session (as well as the selections you’ve already ran, which would remain unchecked until you actually reload the profile settings, change to a different profile, or start a...
