Please accept my apologies, but to fess up, I did it… Recently I continued a project started earlier before summer, to move our download server to a more capable host, while splitting it into separate servers for different applications/updates so one failure wouldn’t affect all of our apps download/update capabilities, and also to pave the way for some new redundancy. Well between yesterday and today, we’ve had the usual download and update issues due to slow DNS propagation to...

Do NOT reinstall dSSMC via the...
Finally!!! As I’m constantly trying to add more features and value to dCloud, I’ve finally hit on something that I should have done long ago. d7 users subscribing to dCloud, and dSupportSuite users alike, can now use Foolish IT’s own SMTP server instead of having to configure your own. This provides several benefits, starting with the fact that you don’t have to screw around with getting the settings configured properly in your dApps. Also you...
Here we are: … and the holy trinity is complete:
Integrated into both D7’s malware page, and dSupportSuite’s Maintenance routine, the apps can now fully automate the updating and scanning of the command line version of Microsoft Security Essentials (if installed) or Windows Defender (if MSSE is not installed.) With dSupportSuite, the integration does have more options of course, like the ability to email a fully customizable alert to you and/or your client when infections are discovered yet not repaired automatically, or when the application...
