Added additional Google Drive integrations: You can now replace dCloud (and self-hosted FTP usage) for configuration/definitions storage with Google Drive. Visit d7x Config > Servers/Email > Google Drive Integration to enable. This means your Config Mgmt Portal will use Google Drive, and any other configs you have previously uploaded to dCloud or your self-hosted FTP will not be present. I apologize but there is no direct copy/import process to change servers, so if you are...
Added Google Drive integration for uploading d7x reports. See the d7x Config > Reports > Google Drive Integration tab for configuration. Also see the video below for a walk-through. Added Upload Reports to Google Drive (and to FTP) to the list of d7x functions which can be added to a custom app list or passed to d7x in scripting, so now you can do it automatically if you wish at any time prior to End...
Implemented improved VirusTotal queries with file uploads if the file has not been previously scanned by VirusTotal. This is used in the d7x Examine File ability, available either through d7x Shell Extensions for Windows Explorer, through either KillEmAll or KillEmAll GUI, or through d7x Malware Search Tool. Configure on the d7x Config > Admin tab. This ability requires you to bring your own VirusTotal API key, learn how to obtain one here (you simply register...
Added the command line version of KillEmAll.exe to the d7x root path by default. This can be disabled (meaning it will stay in the .\d7x Resources\ subdirectory by default) by going to d7x the Config > Session tab and uncheck KillEmAll from the top of the first tab page. KillEmAll configuration is stored with your d7x config, but configured separately (press ‘C’ after running KillEmAll.exe to configure; although the settings are different, the allow list...
Added “Hide Widgets Button” and “Hide Chat Button” (both for Windows 11) to the Tweaks > Taskbar tab. (These tweaks were also added to the latest build of Tweaky.) Fixed the event log alert (on the System Info tab > Alerts column) not triggering properly on certain non-English systems. Fixed d7x Event Log Viewer not properly displaying Warning or Error event types (when specified) on certain non-English systems. Note also that the dSupportSuite client included...
Added Data Backup > Disk Imaging (Backup) tab which creates proprietary backup image files (non-VHD) which can be restored to bare metal; currently integrated only with TeraByte Unlimited Image for Windows. Added the same functionality as a d7x internal function which can be added to any custom app list on any tab (search for either TeraByte, backup, image, etc. to find it.) On the Disk Imaging (Create VHD) tab: Added an ‘Open Path’ button Added...
Added ability to create virtual hard disk images both to a new tab in d7x, the Data Backup > Disk Imaging (Create VHD) tab which can be used to create images manually, as well as adding them as d7x internal functions so they can be automatically run as part of any Auto Mode. Create VHD or VHDX images using Disk2VHD from Sysinternals, which is fully compatible with Windows 8-11’s “Mount” feature in Windows Explorer, as...
Added “Search & Indexing” shortcuts to the Windows dropdown menu. Added two new d7x Functions to Reset and/or just Rebuild the Windows Search Index. The functions are identical except the “Reset” variation will also cause the Search service to rebuild its settings as well as the index. This of course fixes issues with Windows Search Service and that affects other apps like OneNote and Outlook. Searching for a d7x Function (e.g. on the d7x Tools...
CHANGE: Loading an Auto Mode profile that had any Tweaks tab options saved with a shaded in checkbox (neither checked nor unchecked) will now load the saved setting to the checked state, whereas previously it would load as unchecked. Shaded in checkboxes are only displayed when detecting the tweak’s current state as being enabled, therefore applying the tweak is unnecessary and would be skipped. Fixed an issue on the Tweaks > Power Plan tab where...
Added Windows Feature Experience Pack version info to the System Info report in Windows 10/11. It will also now display if you hover the mouse over the Windows version info in the top ribbon of d7x. Fixed several issues with the d7x Config > Admin tab > d7x License Data prompt when your license is based on an older d7II product key. First the prompt was not displaying existing license data, and second although it...
