Added the ability to test your configured Map Drives directly from d7x Config > Session > Session Paths/Files, with verbose error messages. Fixed an issue where Mapping Drives in d7x did not persist after logoff/reboot, now mapped drives should remain persistent as expected until End Session is run.
Added ability to search/run all custom apps directly from the d7x Tools tab. You can once again save persistent config settings for default custom apps. Fixed an issue causing the Autoruns custom app to always run dUninstaller afterwards. The search box for custom apps including the new one on the d7x Tools tab, the d7x Config > Custom Apps tab, and the floating window now finds search terms in the app’s description as well.
d7x email functionality is now enabled for all, regardless of SMTP server configuration. If you do not have an SMTP server configured in d7x Config, now d7x will use its own mail server by default. If you are uncomfortable with reporting info going through our mail servers, you can disable this behavior in d7x Config > Servers/Email > SMTP Server/Email Options > Email Settings (at the bottom) set “Use Internal Mail = False” (or don’t...
Reports tab now displays reports with Unicode characters. For example, if a file contained these symbols “△➜test🂡🂡✘♞” it will now display properly in this version, instead of the older versions which would display this “??test????” with question marks in place of the symbols. New: .TXT, .LOG, and .RTF files can be edited and saved directly from the Reports tab. Now when viewing .TXT, .LOG, and .RTF in the Reports window, text will no longer word...
Fixed an issue in dUninstaller (KillEmAll) where programs installed without anything listed for an “App Publisher” were not matching either whitelist or blacklist definitions that should have matched. This issue could be noticed with the more recent “Microsoft Edge Update” for example, which contains no App Publisher entry. Some apps and functions were being launched behind the main d7x window; hopefully this issue has been resolved across the board, although there may be a few...
d7x – Fixed not displaying internal function info when right-clicking on a d7x function and selecting “Configure App/Function” from the drop down list. d7x and dSupportSuite – Fixed (hopefully for good) an issue with Windows Defender scans failing by adjusting to allow for more time between the update process and the actual scan.
Update v21.1.17 – Increased delete speed by restructuring redundant code. Update v21.1.16.3 – Fixed a recent issue with Deleting Temp Files potentially locking up d7x. Fixed an issue preventing custom apps from saving their configurations after a the app runs (when configured, e.g. CCleaner.) Also a d7x “Under the Hood” video was just released on what exactly that feature does (that was fixed.) Watch “d7x Custom Configurations (CCleaner)” if you want to learn about how...
Fixed a recent issue with Delete Temp Files routines (taking way too long to delete files that are in-use and cannot be unlocked, and also showing a manual delete failure prompt that should never be shown during automated deletions.) Fixed a recent bug with the “Prevent System Sleep Mode” feature.
If you hate reading, we occasionally produce a video version of our release notes which is half info / half tutorial in nature. Check it out.
Improved “Extensions – Action\Command Prompt Here” shell extension (right-click on any file or directory) to run CMD.EXE as Administrator or TrustedInstaller, while still automagically changing to either that directory or the current path of that file you right-clicked on. New behavior is that if you click on a directory, it opens in that directory not in the parent directory (as it would be forced to do for a file.) Improved “Extensions\Search Registry” shell extension (right-click...
