Backstory: I’m drowning in issues. Maintaining D7 by itself, much less all of my other applications, bugs and issues that crop up, new feature requests, a business in selling them, providing services and support, working a 40 hr./week day job on top of that is getting me down in a big way. DataGrab / DataRestore and DataMigrate are my creations, they need attention – but my attention is frequently elsewhere and I don’t have the...

Recently there have been several issues which have plagued a small number of D7 users that I cannot explain or reproduce. The first issue is that D7 after update would complain that it wasn’t registered – any attempt to re-register it was met with the same message. The second issue is simply that D7 is not starting, however it is visible as a running process. While I can’t quite put my finger on the problem,...
When I released D7 v7.8.34 it included a bug that prevents update to v7.8.35 and beyond. Just for reference, you aren’t missing much now – the v7.8.35 update merely fixes the update bug. However you are going to want to get updated at least for future updates, so here’s how: Open an Administrator Command Prompt and navigate to your D7 folder. Run this command: D7 -UpdateOnly This will successfully update D7 to the latest version....
v7.8.33 has just been released as a FREE version, a significant update to the last free version v6.7, this version is packed with stability enhancements, bug fixes, and Windows 8 fixes/repair! This version is considered an evaluation version with 200 uses – after that you’ll need to re-download it for continued use. I felt that a lot of people who couldn’t afford to invest in the premium version right away might appreciate the benefits of...

The icon in the Windows taskbar can be a max of 8-bit color depth (256 colors) and the form icon (displayed in the top left corner of the app) can only be 16 colors!!! Also transparency...

This will allow the uploading/sharing of your various D7 definitions, and of course downloading/adding others’ definitions to your own!Currently in an experimental phase, the only D7 definitions currently available in D7 Cloud Share are your Auto Uninstall entries. NEW FEATURE in D7 v7.6.10: Auto Uninstall (Maintenance page) Inspired by XanderSort of a ‘make your own PC Decrapifier’ feature. Basically click the button and you will be presented with a GUI where you can selectively uninstall currently installed apps of course, or add them to an automated removal list (and of course remove everything found on that list). The automated removal list will be used when in Auto Mode instead of showing you the GUI, and all apps...
