Extended Validation Certificates and NoScript
NoScript is a Firefox browser add-on used to disable all scripts on web sites to increase security. This is done because there is not always a trust relationship with scripts that sites are running. Scripts are manually whitelisted by the user once they are known to be trustworthy. NoScript will prevent our web site from working properly if scripts are not allowed. We have recently added extended validation certificates to our website. Our site is fingerprinted in both SHA1 and SHA-256 and this should ensure trust in our domain. It is safe to whitelist our site with NoScript. Below is a screen shot showing how this can be done from the options menu selection.
Clicking allow after typing in our site will whitelist it and allow the scripts necessary to make our shopping cart and other functionality on our site work correctly.
Extended validation (EV) certficate details:
Seeing the green in the URL bar at the top of your browser of choice is very important. It ensures that all content is coming from our website only, and that no other websites are in any way delivering or intercepting traffic between your browser and our website.
